Our Story

How We Met

Jae & Jayden met at a TMU hockey event through a mutual friend. Jayden’s  close friend Julie was graduating, so there was a celebration with the rest of the team, and other friends. Julie brought her highscool friends that night and Jae noticed the only pair of cowboy boots at the front. He walked over to the table Jayden was sitting at as he spotted the only girl wearing western jeans. He said "Hey my name is Jae what's yours." Jayden laughed and said "My name is also Jay what are the odds!" and the rest is history. Thank you Julie!!

The Proposal

Jae comes down to Jayden’s  family branding every year. Its a big event for her family as around 35 family members come down to the farm, some from different parts of Saskatchewan and Alberta. Surrounded by Jay's family and bestfriend, Jae got down on one knee. Jayden was on a calf that was being branded and got up, turned around to get the next one, and Jae was right there. It was very special for Jay's family and friends to be there with her and she thinks it was the best possible way to propose.

Wedding Party

Turner Crockett

Turner was one of my first friends that I met when I got to Canada. We met at a skate park near my house. When I first met Turner he was wearing a mountain dew hat, trying to convice me that he was sponsered by them. before I knew it, I bought a skateboard so that I could hangout with him and skate around Toronto. Turner is quiet at first, but when you get to know him he is one of funniest guys I know. Turner always has my back for absolutley anything, I am lucky to not only have him as my best friend, but also be my best man.

Chantelle Cooper

Chantelle has been my best friend for my whole life, we started hanging out before we were even 1! We were the inseparable duo all throughout our school years. She is easy to talk to, has a sense of humor like no other, and is always ready to lend a shoulder if needed. I have a million memories from childhood that feel like it was just yesterday. She has the kindest heart and even though we go to different universities we are still as close as we always have been. I couldn't imagine my wedding without her by my side and am super thankful she is my maid of honour.

Antoine Bedia

My little brother. nick named the "happy child" because when he was a kid he had a high temper and would cry all the time. Even though we are 8 years apart in age, we have always been so close. Back home, we rode our moterbikes everywhere together. Antonie is quiet when you first meet him but super nice, and his passion for basketball and designing clothes is very admirable. I'm so gald my not-so-little brother is standing beside me.

Nevaeh Lawson

My little sister. She fills my life full of laughter, adventures, joy, and can't forget karoke in the car. She is a true country girl with way better style then me! She loves playing volleyball and spending time with her friends. She is funny, caring, and has the most insane memory and will remember every detail about everything. She inspires me everyday with her drive for follwoing her passions but most importantly, shes my best friend for life.

Tannor Crockett

Tannor and I met the same day I met his brother, at the skate park by my house, and became close by skating with him. I asked tannor what school he went to, when he told me the name of the highschool I enrolled in the same school so I could hangout with him more. Tannor is outgoing, loud, and funny. We've been through a lot together and am blessed to have him stand beside me.

Britini Yammine

The life of every party! I met Brit in my second year of university hockey when she was in her rookie year. She's loud, funny, and outgoing. We moved in together the following year to apt 313 and our friendship has never been stronger. Even though she may be known by lots as the life of the party, she also gives great advice. I am so lucky to be able to live with Brit and will forever see her as my sister and am so greatful to have her standing beside me.

Tristin Ponciano

I met Tristin through Tannor and Turner as they are cousins who are close. When I first met him he hardly said a word, but once we hungout more often he became one of my closest friends. We have had countless roadtrips and memories together. Tristin is very quiet when you first meet him but is such a genuine guy with a great sense of humour. Im glad to have him as one of my groomsman.

Kalin Harrabek

Kalin and I met through softball. The Biggar Nationals picked me up for provincials when I was 12 and played with her ever since. We became close right away and have gone to Mexico a couple of times together. Kalin is a light in any room she walks into. You'll be greeted by an outgoing personality who makes sure everyone is having a good time. She is the life of any party and makes me laugh every time we are together. I am so lucky she is standing by my side.
